Broiled Herb-Crusted Steaks
🛒Ingredients (Grocery List)
4 Boneless Beef Steaks, 5 to 7 ounces each
Vegetable Oil for brushing
Dried Herbs, such as Thyme, Rosemary, or crumbled Bay Leaves
Salt and Pepper
3 tbsp Butter

🥣Instructions
1. Preheat the broiler. On a broiler pan, brush the Steaks on both sides with Oil and pat with the Dried Herbs. Broil the Steaks, turning once, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
2. Transfer the Steaks to a cutting board and let stand for 5 minutes. Transfer to a warmed platter. Season with Salt and Pepper, top with the Butter, and serve.
💡Tips
If you use a grill pan on top of the stove, set it over high heat for several minutes before adding the Meat.
Do not use a fork to turn the Meat or the juices will run out. Use tongs instead.
A piece of Meat for the grill should weigh between 5 ounces and half pound. The thinner the Steak the quicker it cooks.
The general rule for cooking Steaks is 1 minute on each side for 1/2-inch-thick Steaks; 2 to 3 minutes per side for 1-inch Steaks; and 3 to 4 minutes for 1 1/2-inch Steaks.
