Shrimp Salad in a Glass


🛒Ingredients (Grocery List)


  • 1/2-pound cooked, shelled Shrimp

  • 1 tsp Cognac

  • 3/4 cup Mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp Crème Fraîche or Sour Cream

  • Chopped Chives or Tarragon leaves

  • 2 pinches of Cayenne Pepper

  • 2 Boston lettuce leaves, sliced crosswise into thin strips

🥣Instructions

1. In a bowl, toss the Shrimp with the Cognac and let marinate for 15 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, in another bowl, blend the Mayonnaise with the Crème Fraîche, Herbs, and Cayenne Pepper. Reserve 1/4 cup of the Herbs Mayonnaise. Reserve 4 of the Shrimp and fold the rest into the large bowl amount of Mayonnaise.

3. In each glass, layer the Lettuce strips and Shrimp Salad, finishing with more Lettuce. Top with 1 tablespoon of the reserved Mayonnaise and hook 1 Shrimp on the rim. Chill until serving.

  • This recipe can be prepared through Step 2 and refrigerated for several hours, which is convenient, plus it tastes even better.
